The teaching of Trigonometry in times of COVID-19

Abstract

The following article presents an analysis on the research and process of creation, design and implementation of teaching-learning strategies for the subject of trigonometry during the confinement caused by covid-19 in the community of the third semester of the Campus of the Preparatory School. The purpose is for other teachers to consider its application to improve educational quality, in addition to achieving significant learning in students by developing the mathematical skills necessary when taking this subject. Therefore, the main challenges and obstacles faced by teachers and students when working on educational processes continuously and remotely are mentioned. It should be noted that the research project was worked for a year with a qualitative methodology and a line of Action Curriculum and Didactics (line of research through which a series of strategies are implemented to improve educational processes). In this period, the study plans and programs were redesigned, the Microsoft TEAMS platform was incorporated to carry out the educational processes, video tutorials were recorded and published on the different platforms of the university, a bank of reagents was developed to elaborate questionnaires, exams, series of exercises and problems, and instructional scripts were designed in which teaching-learning strategies and activities were proposed for their implementation..
