Secure attachment in children with multiple disabilities
Abstract
The importance of attachment lies in being the basis for the future establishment of positive relationships and socio-emotional development. In children with multiple disabilities, this construction is hindered by the emotional state of the mother; they require support systems to develop maternal sensitivity skills that favor secure attachment. Special education services are required to provide guidance to parents of children with multiple disabilities to minimize barriers to learning and participation. The educational intervention project supports the resolution of school problems, the design of a maternal sensitivity skills program to promote secure attachment is a response to support the family and the child with multiple disabilities.
