Research in the field of the student community

Abstract

One of the most relevant challenges for public or private institutions today is to establish themselves as active spaces for the construction of knowledge, which is why, for several decades, various authors have made a series of efforts to understand and design the necessary strategies for learning.

The scientific research, at present, has increased considerably in both public or private universities, as well as in a great diversity of government institutions. An example of this is the increase in various newly created research centers in Mexico; However, along with such interest in promoting research in the ambit university, their student communities seem to be increasingly remote and reluctant to be involved, as well as less aware of the demand on the theoretical-methodological rigor, either because they have not been properly instructed in the task, or because they have not been properly instructed on why and for what it is important. This situation that leads to one of the main problems that is clear in the education, that the student in the middle educational level, at an early academic age, does not know what scientific research implies and, suffering from the deficiencies of the past, so continues their higher educational level; even, the same problem occurs in the postgraduate level –by the guidelines of such educational level, the student ends up learning, at the cost of great intellectual efforts, the constitutive bases of scientific research–; thus, that does not guarantee that by holding the degree of Master or PhD, someone stands before the best representation of a good researcher. About this context, that of the student communities based on the function of investigation processes, that the development charges interest of this essay, the which is structured methodologically, from observational position inclined to the establishment of qualitative assumptions.
